Grand Opening of Hanging Water Tank pilot
At the 1st of June 2017 the pilot project of Hanging Water Tank was opened with a festive seminar. After an introduction by inventor Bert Dautzenberg, the director of Hengji Water explained their vision of a sustainable water cycle. The seminar also featured several expert presentations by the Chinese and the Dutch government. The audience was guided through the water purification systems and to the roof provided with Hanging Water Tank. Here people could taste some strawberries grown in the urban agriculture part of the roof. The pilot project with Hengji Water in Dalian is meant to have a follow up in other Chinese Cities.
